3 Days Mount Elgon Trek

Your trip begins after breakfast at your hotel in Kampala or with a pickup from Entebbe International Airport. Our company representative will warmly welcome you and drive you to Mount Elgon National Park in eastern Uganda.

En route, you'll pass through Mabira Forest, where you'll enjoy the cool breeze and views of towering tropical trees. A lunch stop will be made in Mbale town, followed by registration at the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) offices.

Later, you'll proceed to Sipi Falls, one of Uganda’s most iconic natural attractions. In the evening, check in at your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Nature Walk & Cultural Tour

After breakfast, begin your day with a guided nature walk starting from the Mount Elgon Forest Exploration Centre. Explore the nearby trails, learn about the local flora and fauna, and take in panoramic views of the landscape.

You’ll also visit nearby Sabiny community villages, where you’ll learn about their unique customs, traditional practices, and lifestyle.

After returning to the lodge for lunch, you’ll head out again for an afternoon walk to the bottom of Sipi Falls to witness the powerful plunge of water as it crashes onto the rocks below. From there, visit nearby caves formed by centuries of erosion and water flow.

Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and rest.

After an early breakfast, depart Sipi for Jinja, one of Uganda’s most vibrant towns. Visit the Bujagali Falls, a popular site for white water rafting and other adventure sports (viewing only). Proceed to visit the Source of the Nile, where you’ll see the start of the world’s longest river.

You’ll also stop at the Sezibwa Falls, a culturally significant site believed in local legend to have been born from human beings.

Lunch will be served in Jinja town, after which you’ll transfer back to Kampala for drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
